Wolfie enjoying his pool last week.
Went for a long jog along the lakefront yesterday and took my $99 camcorder to take some grainy video. Here is what I came up with. Enjoy!
Happy New Year to all of my blog readers! What is everyone doing today? Taking a nap, watching football or outdoor hockey, or all of the above?
Saw this one on another Voxer's blog. Thought it was amusing. May have to get a pic of Wolfie in his Santa hat as well. Don't know if he'd be so good!
Ever wonder why Southwest Airlines is consistently at the top of customer satisfaction surveys? Could it be that it is because they DON'T serve food and DON'T have assigned seating? The absence of these "amenities" makes the flight all about getting from city A to city B, like using a greyhound bus with wings. It's not about the extras, which can only serve to add to the list of things passengers complain about.
People on a Southwest flight will never get miffed at bad airline food and "being forced" by the seating agent to sit in a middle seat because if a Southwest passenger shows up late for the flight and ends up having to choose a middle seat they can only blame themselves (or their own circumstances). Go into a bar in Chicago and 90% of the patrons are drinking a beer, many from a longneck bottle even when fresh tap beer is available. Go to Wisconsin and most people can be seen drinking Brandy Old Fashioneds, Brandy Cokes, Brandy and you name it, up and down the bar. Doing research for a trip to cheesehead land, I dug up this article on what constitutes a Wisconsin Old Fashioned, and the reason why about 1/3 of all Korbel made in California, makes it's way to Wisconsin:

Also, here is an article on the last surviving WWI vet in Wisconsin who attributed his longevity to Brandy:

Cubs lost. 2 late nights and 1 afternoon later that's all there was. At least I resisted buying $150 nose bleeds for yesterday's game. Maybe they will lose to a "real" team next year. At least they provided us with 3 games. Maybe next year we can get 4 out of 'em. If they get that far....
The Cubs are in the playoffs, but we can't watch them at home. Not only is the game on late on a "school night" but it is also on cable. We are one of the 15% of city dwellers without a connection. Looks like a late night at the corner pub, or better yet, radio. Anyone else out there with similar problems?
